Today I dragged myself out of bed and I was actually ahead of schedule, which was nice. At school, I went straight with my Italian teacher for the first hour and then went back to class for math. During math, we went over the test problems, and even though I haven't gotten my test back, I know I got probably one and a half questions right. Half way through the corrections, a couple of my classmates started teaching me some things that I hadn't understood and then everybody started shouting. I looked up, and the teacher was telling me to come up to do one of the test problems on the board, even though I was sure I failed every one of them. I shook my head 'no', but she made me come up anyway. I guess it was the one question that I had gotten right, but I solved it in a weird way on my test so I didn't want to do it on the board. She ended up walking me through the whole problem and I felt like an idiot in front of the class.
After math, I went back with my Italian teacher for the third hour and then went back to class for the last two hours. We had English and my classmates don't think that the teacher really even knows English very well so they were telling me that I should talk with him and see if he could keep up with the conversation. If he couldn't, they want to go tell the principle so that they can get another teacher. I thought their plan was kind of harsh but I went along with it a little bit. I asked him to translate something for me, and they are right. He seems like he knows less English than the girl sitting next to me. Like yesterday, he only had one student come up to the board and write a couple of sentences and then we had the rest of the class to goof off. I played this game with some of the people sitting around me, and it is kind of like scattegories. It was really fun! Then we had physics and the teacher doesn't explain things very well, so I was totally lost the whole time and I asked one of my friends what was going on, but she didn't really know either. Neither did the kids behind me. They said I wasn't the only one.
After lunch, my host parents had to go back to work, but Janie came over around 3. We just hung out and talked for a couple of hours. We also skyped with Emma and my sister. At 6, we walked to the chalet and hung out with more of our friends. It was nice to talk with everybody. I feel like school ends so early (at 1:15pm) and I pretty much have the whole day ahead of me still. It's nice to get to go out in the afternoon. We had to leave at 7:30 because Janie was being picked up at 7:45. When we got home, Janie left and I had dinner. Now my plan is to go to bed early.
Ciao!
